Dickey's Barbecue Pit - The Colony

5 stars for taste of meat. 2 stars for “ambiance”; looks dark/dingy. 1 star for plastic utensils. 1 star for “roll”….tiny, cold, tasteless. 2 stars for size of sides…..great taste but chintzy. Very poor upkeep…..light bulbs out, exterior sign looks burned, hand-written signs in window advertising other food. Terrible color/decor; looks tired/old. Franchising has ruined this once-great brand.

I ordered a chopped brisket loaded potato through uber eats and my side of sour cream was left off and I paid $2 for it and the potato was not FRESH. Everything was just thrown together. I will NOT BE BACK! I do not recommend here. They just throw your food together in a rush.

Inconsistent. I went to this location to use a coupon I received from the Dallas Draft Party to use at Dickeys to receive a Free Sandwich.I went on Friday to use the coupon with no problem. My son received a coupon as well and we went to use his coupon on Saturday just to be told we are not able to use it because they don't accept the coupon.I stated I just used it here on Friday. I was unable to get my son the free sandwich here. There were hundreds of people who received this coupon. If you have one don't go here!!!!! Either they pick and choose who they will allow to use the coupon or it may depend on who is there that day.Inconsistent ???

I stopped at the gas station to get a soda. I smelled the delicious aroma of bbq so I immediately went to order a 3 meat plate to go. This is an express bbq experience. The portion sizes were phenomenal. And the flavor was outstanding and so fresh. Thank you to the nice ladies that helped me and packaged my food so well it withstood the drive home.

This Dickeys just recently re-opened after a remodel and it is better than ever. I had the brisket and it was tender and flavorful. I would highly recommend!Pro Tip: Ask them about their secret menu...
