Bidra med feedbackI like Barrel and Bones, so it pains me to write a bad review of them, but this should serve as a cautionary tale for anyone wishing to go to the restaurant. I would highly recommend you go anywhere else for bourbon or bbq after this experience. Iwent to The Colony location on Thursday, March 5 at around 4pm ? after first going to their Carrollton location, which wasclosed due to a corporate party, so I had driven an extra 25ish minutes because I really like the place?. My friend and I wereintending on having a few drinks and early dinner. I love their bourbon selection, and as someone who works in the industry, understands rarity, etc. I asked the bartender. Corday (sp? how much a pour of Weller 12 was, and she replied $8.75. ?Ohthat?s a great price!? I replied? to which she paused and said she needed to check to see if that was the correct price. Shewent to the manager and came back to tell me the price had been raised to $10. Her checking on the price and the price beingraised was based solely on my reaction to the initial price ? no other reason. It had clearly been put in the system at thatother price and had sat on a shelf for at least a significant time before I arrived. I was caught off guard by the raising of aprice solely due to my reaction, and raised my concern in a calm manner with both Corday (sp? and the manager ? who eventually, and reluctantly gave me the lower price but then charged me $1 for my ice for the first time that I have ever been chargedfor ice on any of my 8 10 times I?ve visited both locations. I was at their Carrollton location the day before and there was noup charge for ice this was clearly done as a punitive measure. From that point forward, Corday also gave my friend and I thecold shoulder and it was clear we were no longer welcome at the establishment. Imagine going to a clothing store, finding ashirt for $20? then at the register, when you tell the clerk that ?you think it?s a great price,? the cler
Came here for the first time and loved everything! We had the Buffalo fried deviled eggs, the brisket grilled cheese, and the following sides: loaded baked potato salad, Mac n cheese, creamed corn, and the beans. Mac n cheese wasn't anything greater thanMac n cheese (still loved it), but everything else was on point. The potato salad was warm and tasted better than I could haveimagined. The bread pudding had to be ordered and that was the best decision ever. Service was great. Small place, yet cute, andit would be considered a whiskey lovers dream. Definitely will go back and Definitely recommend!
They usually love it here, but when we came into the mood of the staff was gone. we came in and (consider, it is a seat itself) sat in one standing and waited more than 20 minutes to even get a service, even had to go wondering who our server was. (at this point we noticed other tables that had gone inward, which had already been given their meal. our server, she gave the impression that we were a terrible inconvenience for them, and did not much to look at us during our dinner. Maybe it was just a night, but we usually come here because of the funny atmosphere and the fast service. not sure what went wrong here.
Excellent food and great service. Also has an expansive selection from the bar. We went on Monday night, football was on all the TV?s. They have a large area for both indoor and outdoor dining. Definitely a place we will go to again.
Very welcoming laidback atmosphere. Good selection of bourbons. Their house Old Fashioned was very good. The staff did a good job. Definitely recommend trying the fried deviled eggs. I don?t like spicy food but their jalapeño and cheese sausage was a perfect blend of flavors. We were surprised they weren?t busy on a Saturday night. Music was especially entertaining because it was a blend of different genres from different decades.
