Bidra med feedbackMy brother flew in from out of state, and I brought him here to enjoy some good times. The atmosphere, service, and drinks were all fantastic. I've been here numerous times and love coming back each time. The prices were very reasonable as well. I will definitely be returning!
They usually love it here, but when we came into the mood of the staff was gone. we came in and (consider, it is a seat itself) sat in one standing and waited more than 20 minutes to even get a service, even had to go wondering who our server was. (at this point we noticed other tables that had gone inward, which had already been given their meal. our server, she gave the impression that we were a terrible inconvenience for them, and did not much to look at us during our dinner. Maybe it was just a night, but we usually come here because of the funny atmosphere and the fast service. not sure what went wrong here.
I like barrels and bones, so it hurts me to write a bad review of them, but that should serve as an attentive story for anyone who wants to go to the restaurant. I would recommend you to go somewhere else for bourbon or bbq after this experience. I went to the Colony-Location on Thursday 5th March at 14 o'clock? After the first visit to their Carrollton site, which was closed due to a company party, I had run an extra 25ish minute because I really like the place.? my friend and I wanted a few drinks and early dinner. I love their bourbon selection and as someone working in the industry understands rarity, etc. I asked the bartender. corday (sp. how much a casting of waver 12 was, and she answered $8.75? this is a great price!? I replied, stumbled on and said she had to check if that was the right price. She went to the manager and came back to tell me that the price was raised to $10. the review of the price and price increase was based exclusively on my reaction on the initial price? no other reason. it had been clearly placed in the system at this other price and had at least a significant time before my arrival sitting on a rule. I was caught by raising a price just because of my reaction and my care in quiet way with both corday (sp. and the manager? who finally, and reluctantly gave me the lower price, but then accused me $ 1 for my ice for the first time that I ever stood for ice on one of my eight times I visited both. I was at her carrollton stand before the day and there was no charge for ice, this was clearly done as a criminal measure. from then on corday also gave my friend and I the cold shoulder and it was clear that we were no longer welcome to the facility. Do you imagine going to a dress shop to find a hot for $20? in the register, if they tell the writer that? the writer goes to the manager and gets the price increased? What happened here? my friend and I would not order another drink or eat after this round, because a corday was clearly angry and at this point deliberately ignore us and b we could not trust that what we ordered would not trigger another price increase. that was insulting and one of the strangest/worst customer experiences I've ever had. I can't trust barrels and bones anymore.
From all choices of local restaurants to go to my birthday dinner. I chose this favorite of us. this place was and is still one of the top top craft brew and whiskey bar in all dfw. they should also be more famous than smoke house because the thier smoke and bbq here are top notch. they never disappointed me. I had taped where succulent and delicate jucy, just ruined from the dry. brisket street tacos, where mouth well watered and the black and tan bier broken twill ring tower is a fantastic appetizer. also of special note is their baked potato salad, which is a unique home recipe, must be try! but the show steeler today was the vanille ice cream covered brotpudding. I had birthday cakes.? only wow! also our server nicole was super friendly courtesy and gracious, our glasses were never in danger, running dry. the bartender lisa has one of the top 3 best old fashions I had ever made from basil hayden high rye Bourbon...Kudos women they rocked it!
I visited this restaurant for the first time and absolutely loved everything! We tried the Buffalo fried deviled eggs and the brisket grilled cheese, along with several sides: loaded baked potato salad, Mac n cheese, creamed corn, and beans. While the Mac n cheese was just standard (but still delicious), everything else was fantastic. The potato salad was warm and exceeded my expectations. We couldn't resist ordering the bread pudding, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we've made. The service was excellent, and the place itself is small but charming—it’s truly a whiskey lover's paradise. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it!
