The At Ponte - Temecula

The wine is fantastic, but I would skip the restaurant in the future. The food was very bland and the service was lacking (except for a great expo that was pleasant at each course). We were so disappointed because we wanted to sign up for the wine club. Bummer!

Our server basically ignored us and we had to ask the manager to intervene twice! We waited 20 minutes with no one even checking in. It took forever for the food to drop, then no one checmed in once it did. We couldn't manage even to pay our bill on time. Some dishes were very good, but some were mediocre at best. So disappointed!

We started with some fresh made bread and dip. Then a surprise Calamari appetizer appeared with Sishito Peppers that we didn't order which was yummy (we thought it might have been for the ladies birthdays). Our entrees arrived and were good except for mine. Some of the Potatoes in my entree were too Al dente so I didn't eat the larger cut raw ones. The beef skewers were Medium-Well and were ordered Medium-Rare and the whole plate didn't have any seasoning except for the sauce on the shrimp. I added salt and that helped make it edible. No one checked back on our entrees until we were finished. On top of that, we waited a really long time for our check to arrive. We asked 3 different employees to help get our check and waited an additional 25 minutes before we received it. My guests birthdays were not acknowledged and were not surprised when we were charged for the Calamari/Shishito Appetizer. My guests traveled from Texas and wanted to celebrate their birthdays there since they haven't been back in 5 years. We had a nice time there but it would have been nice to order dessert. There comes a time when you want to order something, but after a really long wait, you just need the check. I honestly felt forgotten about. My guests had no complaints which matters the most, but I must say that you have to do better.

Quite disappointed with our dining experience. The Moussaka was tasteless and the filet was pan seared (not grilled) plus it was served with some weird potato concoction. At least the server was attentive thank you!

Tried four different main dishes. The bolognese, Summer salad with steak, winery salad with steak, and pizza. We also tried the brussel sprout appetizer. All items were “okay”. Family ended up eating from the pizza as the other items were underwhelming. Nothing spectacular. Service was good and environment was calm.
