So, you make the 1km trip back to the bus, grab your wallet, and walk back, feeling certain that this time you’ll finally get your pie...well, that is if you count the humble pie of your hunger and frustration! Once you’re back, order a second pie because you’re now really hungry, sweaty, and a bit cranky. And don’t forget the coffee! Pure bliss! By the way, this pie shop outshines Arrowtown Bakery any day, along with many other so-called amazing places. It stands shoulder to shoulder with Mrs. Ferg in Queenstown and Copenhagen in Christchurch. Te Anau 'Miles Better Pies and More'—you’re amazing!

The best pies I've ever tasted; I'll never forget this place!

These are the best pies I’ve ever tasted! They are slightly pricier than other options, but the quality and generous fillings make the extra cost worthwhile. I returned for more because they were just that good. If I lived in Te Anau, I’d probably gain a lot of weight very quickly. Luckily, we were only there for two days!

I run a The Hippo Lodge in Queenstown and have been sending people here since 2005. Why? Because they are, without a doubt, the BEST (and I mean the BEST pies in all of New Zealand, if not the world! : GO THERE!!!
