Bidra med feedbackI give a 3.5 rating because i give it a 4 for food and service and 3 for deliveries. Their place is clean but nothing spectacular. Which is ok for their price point. Service for dining is a bit slow but is fast compared to their delivery. The photos i have here is for the delivery we got today. We ordered our most favorite lumpiang shanghai and lomi. We also ordered shanghai rice. The price compared to the serving is always worth it. Their Lumpiang Shanghai, what we like about it is that it is not your typical restaurant lumpia where you say "sa unang kagat, wrapper lahat"*. Lol.. Their lumpia is made with enough stuffing and fried to perfection. And is seasoned well too. What thay do need to improve on is the amount of sauce that goes with it. As you can see on the photo, you get 12 pieces of these yummy stuff but the sauce looks like you only have 3. They go well together. And with that amount of sauce they're serving, it's really bitin.** Their take on Lomi is different too. Don't expect the soupy lomi you usually get everywhere. Theirs is noodles with eggy sauce. We ordered one with lechon toppings. The lechon is barely there, and seemed more like just sauteed pork rather than lechon. There are enough veggies which i like. It comes with calamansi but there's really no need for it as it is seasoned well. Shanghai Rice. It's a bit bland for my liking. Not really the shanghai rice you'll enjoy eating on its own. But it's still good. What i didn't like about this place is what happened to the delivery earlier today. Our order came almost an hour since we made the call. We called them. Then we called a gas delivery whoch onformed us that it may arrive after 30mins or more because they have to deliver somewhere else first, which is ok with us. Well, the gas came, but our food haven't so we called Pon Lo Tai again and the lady seemed surprised. Like they forgot about it. But she said the rider is about to leave. Then about 20mins after, the food came. Our place is just around 5mins away. And when the rider came, he said he apologize for the delay because they have a lot of deliveries to make. I wish they informed us that when we first called, that we will be getting our food in an hour. Other than that, it still is a nice place to eat or get food at. For my English readers: *all wrapper on your first bite **not enough

A total disaster. We had friends invited for lunch and we ordered our usual dine in food. First, our canton and bihon with lechon order came in as canton with no lechon at all. Second buttered chicken, came in as sweet and sour chicken. Called in, and the guy who took our order kept on pointing fingers on who to blame. Everyone is hungry, and all they can say was for us to wait for freaking 45 minutes more. Funny part was that they were also trying to explain that, that was the way their "buttered chicken" was supposed to look like.. Like what? Its supposed to have like chili and distinct sour taste? C'mon! Stop making excuses and own up!
We have ordered from Pon Lo Tai before ( Pancit Canton for takeout) and what my son said was true, service was slow altho the food was good. No complaints regarding the food as we enjoyed it very much. So last Saturday, I was all alone with two toddlers at home and decided to just have food delivered. I decided on Pon Lo Tai. I called them at around 11:40 am. The staff I talked to was courteous. I ordered Pancit Canton (120), Buttered Chicken (120) and Chicharo with Beef (130). Delivery time she said was around 45 minutes or so, it was delivered after 50 minutes. The food was good. Affordable also since it costs around 370 for the 3 dishes. Altho for the same price, a competitor has a more flavorful pancit with more servings.
Ever since college, my family and I were so in love with Pon Lo Tai. Our all time favorites were: 1. Buttered Chicken 2. Lechong Kawali 3. Lumpiang Shanghai 4. Shanghai Fried Rice 5. Pancit Bihon w/ Lechon Those were our favorites! Up until now that I already have my own family those are the foodums that we always order. Although the good flavor is still there, lately the good customer service isn't. We were so linient that whenever we order for delivery they would respond and tell us that the food will arrive more than 1hr. Don't get me started with their response, it would take them 30 - 45mins to text back and sometimes none at all. We would have to text multiple times and even call just to ask if they have received our order or not. A simple acknowledgement would do. I would give a rating of 5 if only delivery timeframe would be shorten, staffs would learn how to acknowledge and would know how to respond in a timely manner. And lastly maybe hire another rider so we won't have to wait on queue that long (just a suggestion). Nothing is wrong with the food, the food is great actually. I recommend to just dine-in for faster service and of course for the food to be still hot. In case you guys really want delivery, just call their landline to make sure they got your order. ✌????
