Bidra med feedbackReally enjoyed our food here the other night. My go to place for a milkshake and fries. Staff is super efficient and friendly. Our server Sklyer was fantastic. Definitely would recommend.
The burger was messy. Too much garlic aioli and the tomatoes and onions kept sliding off. The burger did not have much taste. The fries were really good.
The Fare Porter is a pleasant, homey, and modest burger bar that is far more experienced in feel than your standard burger joint. The owner prepares your food on the grill directly behind the counter and has created some incredible sauces and burger variations to some standard, and not so standard style burgers. Even the plain hamburger (not pictured) that our 3 year old scarfed down was absolutely juicy and well worth the price. The fries were perfectly salted, and just enough crisp to remind you that these are hand cut and dipped, not made from a machine. The poutine fries were everything my high cholesterol didn’t need, but my heart and stomach longed for that day!The wife and I absolutely loved the jalapeño aioli that was on my burger, and though she was pregnant and didn’t eat much at the time during our visit in July of 2022, she absolutely loved hers as well! The server, whom seemed to be also helping the owner establish the restaurant a bit more, was preemptively refilling the whole families drinks, napkins and even swooning in for dessert. Sorry guys, we wanted to try the milkshakes, but the bakery’s flourless cake was set in my heart for that day’s venture. But definitely next time! There’s not too many seats available inside, with the bar pictured in other peoples reviews. They do offer mixed drinks and such, but we passed. However, they did have outside seating which is a bit more intimate, and definitely worth the view for the food in the area.If you’re in the area and looking to get a new place, or just want to check of restaurants, definitely start here for lunch! Or dinner, either way!We will be back for more!
If you are a ShakeShack fan, you 'll love their burgers. Best way to describe their burgers is to ask yourself what is the gourmet equivalent of ShakeShack burger? ...well this is it. Not sure if the owner will like it that I 'm comparing them to ShakeShack but this is the best smash burger that I have ever had. Definitely be coming back again.
MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO FIX THEIR ONLINE ORDERING SYSTEM so it doesn 't simply tell everyone food will be ready in 20-25 minutes. I showed up yesterday after 20 minutes and was told it will be five more minutes. I then waited about 30 more minutes as the harried staff struggled with dozens of orders and more and more takeout customers showed up and fumed over how long everything was taking. The burgers and fries are absolutely excellent. They 're worth waiting 45-50 minutes for. But why is management putting employees in a position where they have to deal with angry customers?
