Del Frisco's Grille - Tampa

After an incredible workout at The Bar Method, my friend and I decided to have lunch on the patio, which was my first visit to this restaurant! We were welcomed by a lovely and friendly woman who kindly offered us our choice of seating. Our server, Mike, was attentive and really laid-back. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch together, and Del Frisco’s truly lived up to our expectations! My friend ordered the vegan burger (which was delicious!), we shared some potatoes that tasted like a fantastic potato pancake with cheese from the side menu, and I absolutely loved the mushroom and burrata arugula salad.

What we liked: The cocktails were delightful, featuring a tasty Old Fashioned and a refreshing Margarita. The Jumbo Lump Crab Cake was outstanding, and the Filet Mignon with Truffle Butter and Roasted Mushrooms was excellent. What didn’t work: Unfortunately, our drinks took a long time to arrive. The Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail was overcooked, and the Lemon Dill Salmon was also done too much. We expected a bit more professionalism from our server. Given that it was a busy holiday and we appreciated that they were open, we’re willing to give dinner another try on a regular night.

Our waiter, Aaron, was excellent. I've always appreciated the atmosphere of your dining room. However, I was disappointed with the shrimp cocktail; the shrimp were not jumbo and had a rubbery texture, clearly suggesting they were frozen and thawed. My ribeye had a significant amount of gristle and fat, which made it less tender than I expected. Additionally, the Brussels sprouts were undercooked and drenched in too much sauce.

We had the wonderful opportunity to dine at this restaurant just before attending a Beyoncé concert. Despite the crowd, our waiter Alberto was incredibly attentive and our food arrived quickly, allowing us to make it to the concert on time. We also had a chance to meet the manager, whose name I can’t recall, but he was very professional and friendly to my friends and me. I will definitely be returning. I had heard so many great things about this restaurant, and they all turned out to be true.
