Bidra med feedbackWhen we inquired about additional petit fours, the brunette woman with glasses seemed quite annoyed and replied, “If there are only three in the case, then that's all we have.” We tried to brush it off and asked about cake slices, wondering if they still offered the same variety as before. Again, the woman responded, this time with the same irritated look, “If it’s not in the case, then we don’t have it.” I’ve never been one to leave a bad review, but this experience felt very unprofessional and disappointing. Despite the service, we ended up purchasing the three petit fours and a few other desserts, but none of them had that special wow factor we remembered. Unfortunately, we don’t think we’ll be making the trip back anytime soon.
First, when I called to place the order, I was told that the cheesecakes were $7 each, so I ordered two. However, when I arrived, I discovered they were actually around $9-10 each, which wouldn't have been a big deal if I'd known in advance. The more significant issue was that I specifically requested toppings on the cheesecakes during our lengthy phone conversation. The person I ordered for wanted just a simple cheesecake, so I made it very clear that I wanted toppings. When I got to the store to pick them up, I found that there were no simple cheesecakes available at all. I had no other options for my work function that day, so I checked with my boss and ended up taking the incorrectly prepared order, which was very embarrassing. On top of that, the cleanliness of the store was not up to par. There were crumbs on the floor, greasy smudges on the glass display cases, and filling splattered everywhere. It was not a pleasant first impression. As for the staff, they didn’t seem very concerned about the wrong order. They just smiled weakly as if to say "sorry," but it lacked sincerity. I don’t expect a dramatic reaction, but I would have appreciated a bit more acknowledgment of the issue. In the end, they only charged me for the simple cheesecake and not for the toppings, which I appreciated, but it doesn't make up for the overall experience. I won't be returning to this place. If you’re planning to order for an event in advance, I recommend doubling or even tripling your order just to be safe. However, the cleanliness issues were really the deal breaker for me.
The cakes for the dinner party are absolutely stunning. However, what truly impressed me was the gingerbread man I had. It was fantastic, unlike anything I've had since I was a child in rural Ohio. Simply wonderful! We'll definitely be returning.
You're kidding? I took one to go the insole of baked ziti and meatballs to take for a meal for a family from my church. I wish I would have asked what size pan they consider food 4-6 people!!! An 8”x8” pan MAY feed 4 adults, and that presses it, but 6 people?! Not even close, And you charge 36.00 for an 8x8 pan? It's just ridiculous. The young lady took it out and I panicked right away. I thought they had made the wrong size. I literally asked, this is for 4-6 people?! She said yes. I was embarrassed to throw it out. Portion sizes are not accurate at all. Never again.
Ingredients not the same. Lots of oils and shortenings that taste like Albertsons and not as fresh as before. Years ago I really looked forward to every bite. Now i pitch most as my family wont eat it. Too bad, it was great.
