Pancakes on the Rocks - Sydney

I ordered small stack pancakes, hash browns and sausage! As an American in Australia, the sausage was a little different than what I'm used to but, The

Tourist trap, but they deliver what they promised: IHOP on the Rocks. In other words: cheap american breakfast+diner in overpriced location.

'Run-of-the-mill' breakfast foods not great foodstuffs to break a fast! Noisome construction disruptive to a pleasant eating experience.

The best desert pancakes in Sydney. The Chocolate pancake was rich and full of flavour. Pizza was good. I would come in for some pancakes anytime!

Was expecting a good dinner as I have been here in the past. However, the quality of the service/food has dropped significantly since my last visit overall and it was not a pleasant experience at all, certainly not coming back again.  We had to wait over 20 mins to be served and were mostly ignored by the staff with water only coming to our table 15 min into the meal. That is usually okay in my book as the place is jam packed at night, but the absolute worst I cannot tolerate is the attitude toward your customers. We had ordered the rib eye steak at medium-rare, and received a raw steak that was rarer than rare. I asked them to just char the steak a little more so I can at least cut the damn thing. It came back being almost well-done and the meat was so tough I still couldn't cut through it. It was simply inedible and not even seasoned properly. At this point I was disappointed and asked if they could re-do the steak. Instead the manager comes up to me and claims they have 3 "well trained chefs" who know how to cook a steak and intentionally tried to force us to finish the crappy steak. We explained the situation but the way he was talking to us was very hostile and pushy/aggressive. In the end we managed to get a new steak which was what a medium rare steak should be, but at this point it wasn't even about the food but more so care for customers. If you are looking for a decent steak with a service presence I would high suggest you look elsewhere.
