Bavarian Bier Café - Sydney

I used to love this place, but it has really gone downhill. My friends and I used to come here occasionally to reminisce, but even the nostalgia couldn't save it. The atmosphere has changed, and not for the better. The lack of customer service was evident when I had to flag someone down just to get cutlery for my meal. The staff didn't seem very attentive and the new ordering system they implemented was confusing and expensive. The food quality has also decreased over the years, and although my friends complained about portion sizes, I can't confirm. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. We all agreed that we would try a different restaurant in the suburbs next time.

The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant, with good music playing. However, it was a bit too loud to have a conversation. The drinks were enjoyable, especially the strong cocktails. The food was decent. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined when we were asked to move to accommodate a larger group, even though we had already ordered drinks and food. The staff apologized for the inconvenience, but it left a bad taste in our mouths. Overall, there are many other restaurants in Sydney that offer better service. I will not be returning to this establishment.

This restaurant was much better before it was transformed from a German-themed bar to an American German fusion-themed bar. The service and acoustics were never a problem when the food and beer were excellent, but now it is best to avoid this place.

Went for a business dinner with some co-workers. Had the wings, fish fingers and ginger beer. Decent for a work outing.

The experience I had last night was the worst I can ever remember in a restaurant. We went for a small Christmas gathering which had been pre-booked. They tried to change the price on us. You can't order at the bar, only by a table...code, and then no matter how you pay you end up paying a further percentage per item transaction fee. Portions sizes were luck of the draw. I went for the pork knuckle, as did my colleague. His was 3 times the size of my sorry offering. At one point, a beer was brought over and we werent sure what it was or who had ordered. A colleague took a sip from it, only for it to be removed 5 minutes later and served to another table, even though it had been drank from and we told the serving person. No atmosphere, overpriced and lacklustre service. Avoid.
