Bidra med feedbackYet another excellent dining experience! The service was fantastic and the food was outstanding. The charcuterie board was especially tasty. As always, we made sure to reserve our favorite dish, the Cote de boeuf, to ensure we wouldn't miss out. Cooked to perfection, medium rare, it was the standout of our meal. The duck confit was also delicious, with crispy skin and tender meat. Both desserts were equally delicious.
District Brasserie is located on the ground floor of Chifley Plaza, fitting so seamlessly into the space that it feels like it has always been there. The interior design, led by Paul Kelly, expertly incorporates classical elements such as aged brass and polished green marble, creating a timeless and elegant atmosphere. The restaurant, co-owned by John Vissaritis and Sam Loutfi, is the culmination of Vissaritis's two decades of experience in the food and beverage industry across three states. Vissaritis describes the restaurant as a reflection of a life focused on "heart and family," a sentiment that is exemplified when he is called away from our table to greet his family as they arrive. As the post-work crowd creates a lively atmosphere in the atrium, I unwind from my own workday with the refreshing Emerald Summer cocktail.
The talented Head Chef Mark Knox showcases his culinary skills at District Brasserie, situated at the base of Chiefly Square. The restaurant offers two distinct sections - a cafe and bakery, as well as a bar and restaurant. Despite not being a regular at Chiefly Tower, I had the pleasure of experiencing this venue on a Friday evening for a romantic date night with my partner MW.
Very friendly and attentive service without being over the top. The open kitchen was captivating to watch whilst our food was being prepared. The food itself was OUTSTANDING!!!! Complex yet simple flavours that were presented beautifully. The meat was divine. Tender and soft and cooked to perfection. The gnocchi was amazing! Never had anything like it. We will definitely be back.
I haven 't been out in the City for quite a while, so it takes somewhere a bit special to lure me into the CBD and District Brasserie hit the mark as an urban cool but relaxed dining experience. Visually, the place is wonderful with its bar and open kitchen area, and the service made sure it was an very enjoyable evening; unpretentious, and attentive without being intrusive. And then the food a veritable explosion of flavours and in combinations that I hadn 't experienced before, which made each plate a talking point with lots of 'ooh, you must try this! ' going on. I love the care that has gone into sourcing the ingredients. And did I mention the free parking? That is unheard of in the evening in the centre of the City, a fabulous added bonus. A great experience all round, and one which we will be happy to repeat.
