La Sosta - Swellendam

We had a lovely evening at La Sosta in Feb! Great food, wonderful hosts.... will definately come back when in SA!

I’m italian and I use not to eat italian food around the world. I’ve been at La Sosta without expectations during my way from George to Cape Town. The welcome is amazing and the food is excellent. The place and his atmosphere gave me the feeling of an homemade dinner with a great chef working on the stove. Sweet!!!

Fantastic oasis along the road that connects George to Capetown. I usually prefer concreteness to experimentation but this restaurant is the right compromise. I sit down in class, the lesson begins: I take notes. Extreme courtesy, a chic setting without luxury (much better this way: you do not need to do show, you focus on dishes). Friendly and helpful staff!

Just had the most deliscious Valentine's dinner at La Sosta!! Lovely with the owner taking a personal interest in his guests! Friendly staff, great service and the food is absolute fantastic!!! I highly recommend visiting La Sosta, if not to stay then for a meal!!!!

We stayed the night and enjoyed the lovely guestroom which is reasonably small (enough space for everything) with lots of attention to detail. Dinner was simply outstanding both in taste and presentation it's what you expect for more than double tjr price. The wine list is also really nice with enough choice of interesting wines. Moreover the service was great. Breakfast was equally great. You get to choose one breakfast dish but can order additional ones which you definitely should. Each dish was a treat. So highly recommend a visit!
