Cine Citta Caffe - Surfside

The food was delicious, even small portions. unfortunately the service was absolutely terrible. my wife and I were served separately, which is a huge pet peeve when it is fed as a couple. we were ignored during the rest of the meal. in an appeal this restaurant is worth the upgrade when the service expectations are managed accordingly.

Long waiting times; extremely small portions, a friend of mine ordered $30 fish and chips and was served to pieces of tiny egg sized fish with 10 French fries, absolutely despicable. When he complained to the to the manager he was berated with attitude and lectured about how expensive kosher food is. Meanwhile, countless of other places have larger portions and friendlier staff. Do your self a favor and skip this place.

My teenage daughter went to Cine Citta last night with 7 friends. They ordered 4 entrees to share, and soft drinks for everyone, and were told by the waiter that unless everyone ordered real food they would be charged $50 extra each. The waiter called the manager, who accused the girls of playing games and spoke to them so rudely that they left. This was not an issue related to other, possibly higher paying customers waiting for tables, as Cine Citta was mostly empty last night.We spoke with two other local families, who told us that their teenagers had similar experiences at Cine Citta in the recent past.Looking at Tripadvisor, Yelp and google reviews, it seems as if this type of customer service is not rare at Cine CItta.Not sure if management or owners at Cine Citta read these reviews...but if you do, please know that there are now several local families who will never again patronize your restaurant.
