Salty Turtle Beer Company - Surf City

Located in a shopping center on the main drag towards the bridge (convenient if you've come over from the island to grocery shop... which we were). Plenty of parking. Lots of inside and outside seating. Helpful and knowledgeable bartenders. Kid (the non-screaming kind) friendly. Dog (the well behaved kind) friendly. Great selection of beers and they had a delicious black cherry cider for my wife (she doesn't do beer anymore). We will definitely be back if we're back in the area.

Stopped in while on vacation in Surf City this week and loved it! The Manila Mango was delicious, and there’s a large selection of swag to choose from. We’ll be back next summer during vacation as well!

Please fully read! I have been going here for the last 4 years. I love this brewery. It is great for people that love IPAs. They will generally have a sour, a Pilsner, and a stout on tap too. There is also a limited selection of wine if beer is not your thing. The bartenders are very friendly and can easily help you make a selection with you are not sure on what to get. The brewery has a very relaxed vibe that has been great to go out with friends and co-workers. During the summer, they have fans running on the patio so it it enjoyable to sit outside. In the winter, they have outdoor heaters evenly spaced out so customers can stay warm. Dogs are always welcome. The bartenders usually have a treat for your dog when you get your first drink. By generally 5pm, there will always food truck with great food parked out front. The only complaint I have is the amount of kids that are present. Over the past year and a half, the amount of kids have sky rocketed. On a Friday or Saturday night you will have a 1/4 the people here being kids. It was fine at the beginning because most of the kids were well behaved and not running around, screaming, and blocking walkways to seating. Now it’s seem like it’s a brewery and a daycare.

We've been meaning to visit Salty Turtle for a long time, but the crowds or family plans have always prevented it. We finally got there today, and could not have been more happy with this cool Coastal brewery.There are a good variety of beers to choose from. Flights include 4 beers; my favorites were the Coastline and Highway 50 (a sour , but all 4 were good. For non-beer drinkers such as my wife, they offer quite a few (5+ different kinds of wine.Service was friendly and knowledgeable, and the restrooms were clean and had vacant/occupied signs built into the handles. Merchandise was good-looking, with lots of nice shirts and glassware. It's a great brewery that we'll certainly visit again.

Fantastic beer, lots of seating options. Loved the beer flight ! Overall great selection of beers! And the flight boards were the cutest!
