Bidra med feedbackThe bean and barley soup is beyond 5 stars. The Matzah ball soup is also incredible and we order it every time we go. I think I'll come back to breakfast and try the eggs Benedict.
Blah. Mediocre and expensive. The place looks good, but it's not worth it. Cheese blink $8, potato pancake $12 for 4 small pieces? No, thanks.
Came excited to Art's and was looking forward to a delicious Deli Noah. I ordered the reubs with fries, three candies, a meat knish and Matzoh ball soup. It was said it was 20 minutes. At 30 minutes I asked for an update and said it would be another 10 minutes. Quickly after 20 minutes, a total of 50 minutes waiting for a pick-up order, and I finally have my food. No excuses for the late and incredibly long waiting period. I heard the guys working and taking the phone calls that the deliveries were now at 1:45 2 hours. Strange. The worst part? When we came home to eat, my pommes were missing and I had onion rings, and the knish was a potato knecht and lacked the Gravy. Incredibly disappointing, *especially*, as it was so exaggerated expensive. The Matzoh ball soup was just reheated and there was a huge chicken bone in it. Disappointed, least to say.
I am convinced that every 4-5 star rating was a fuke here. I just paid 26 dollars for a turkey club sandwich and one side potato salad. The sandwich looked like it was inflated with a grenade. A quarter of the head of salad, 5 slices of dry turkey folded on itself to make it look bigger, pour out pieces of hard leathery curly bacon everywhere, tomato slices with the green hard center still intact, all held together by 2 thin slices wet squished sourdough. Ralph's quality potato salad would have been good if it were not packaged in the monopoly damper. It is a massive route to name the amount of potato salad in this meal one side. It would have been better than Garnish. The person at the counter was friendly, but the person who wrapped my order called my name loud and left the bag on the counter. You'll get a better sandwich at home for 1/3 of the price I promise you.
EXPENSIVE AS F**K!I've been coming here for decades and that has ended today. I ordered a sandwich, soda and small fries and the cost was over $40!!! I'm not kidding. The food was amazing, the staff is great. I love that place, but this is insane. How can you charge that and think folks will continue to support your business? Want a detailed breakdown for those of you in disbelief? Sure, here ya go:1 Half order of fries1 Chocolate phosphate1 half corned beef, half chopped liver sandwichTOTAL COST: $42.WHAT THE ACTUAL F??? That's beyond psychotic and I really hope they take the time to read this review and make some changes. I know rent is expensive, I know you're the only deli in the area, but you need to get your sh*t together and figure it out, because you will not last at this rate.
