Bidra med feedbackI had a wonderful vegan breakfast at this restaurant this morning. The staff, all female, were fantastic. They offer milk alternatives for coffee and tea, and also have a good selection of vegan lunch options and cakes. Keep in mind that Portpatrick is a small village, so make sure to check their opening hours as not all restaurants in the area are open all day or week.
On my first attempt to dine here, the restaurant was closed for the season. So if you visit during the colder months, be sure to check ahead. On my second visit, they had reduced opening hours and I was the only customer there. I can imagine it being livelier in the summer. Overall, the experience was okay. There were 4 vegan options on the menu (no separate vegan menu) and I chose the vegan burger. I'm not sure how it was prepared, but it looked like a thick patty made from various ingredients. The bun was a bit stale, and the salad that came with it was small. The coleslaw, made with vegan mayo, was delicious. The other vegan options on the menu sounded enticing, but I didn't try them. The burger didn't impress me enough to order it again. The coffee was average. They also had a vegan cake option, but I didn't try it.
I enjoyed a lovely and indulgent serving of vegan chocolate cake with my Americano. It was the perfect pick-me-up after a long 4 hours on the train and bus!
Had a nice vegan breakfast here this morning, girls who worked there were great. had milk alternatives for coffee/tea and looked like they had some good vegan options for lunch and also cake. portpatrick is a small village, so you can see for their opening times, as not all restaurants in these areas are open all day / week!
In my first attempt to eat here, it was closed from the season. If you're overseaming the cold months, I'd look after them, and when I went the second time, I was going ahead and they were at reduced opening times. I was the only person, but I'd imagine it's going on in the summer. overall it was okay. there were 4 vegan options on the menu (no more separate menu) and I decided to take the vegan burger, I'm not sure how it was cooked, but it seemed like a big fat flower from something or others. it tasted mostly of fat the rolls was a bit eaten, ad the salat it came with was quite small. the koleslaw was beautiful and it was made with vega mayo. the other options sounded appetit, but I am not sure how they would turn out. I didn't judge the burger enough to try again. I had a coffee and that was quite normal as coffee goes. they had a vegan cake option that I didn't go for.
