Bidra med feedbackA true jem in the middle of the right place gas , everyone I met the two times I came thur there were great thanks for the great memories hope to see you agan!!!!
Great service, cheapest gas in the valley. Note that they only have 87 octane gas.
Two couples rented two rooms for four nights. At a total of $200.00 per room per night this is probably the least expensive lodging in the park. The location was very good. The hotel rooms were very worn, the beds were uncomfortable, and the hotel showed signs of poor maintenance. Room makeup service was problematic, however, the office personnel were very helpful and would provide towels, coffee and water on request. They even loaned us a broom to sweep the sand out of our rooms. We were in Death Valley to hike and explore the park and spent little time in our rooms.
Extremely rude and unhelpful staff. Please save yourself a headache and use any of the other lodges in Death Valley like Panamint or the ones at Furnace. We reserved a night there for my birthday celebration with a clear message in their official special requests box stating that we would need access to one of the camping charging stations for charging our car. They took the reservation and didn 't even read the request, nor responded to it saying that it wasn 't possible to reserve one of those spots. When we arrived at sunset counting on them for not being stranded in the park, they balantly said that all the spots where taken and that it would be our fault for assuming that they would read their own special requests box. I asked for help figuring out solutions and the staff person and someone else that I assume was the manager (they never identified themselves) refused to help us finding solutions, blame us, and even refuse to recognize that if they have a special request box in their reservation system they should read it and respond to it. They got angry at us for suggesting them to make it clear in their reservation system that the special requests box will be ignored. They treated us so bad that when we asked for a reimbursement the first staff member and who I assumed was the manager, walked out on us and refused to give us any receipt. We were left to deal with another staff member that just entered the room. They even have a feedback machine that doesn 't work as can be seen in the video.
We stayed two nights at the Stovepipe Wells Village Hotel while visiting Death Valley and had a nice stay. Staff were friendly at check-in and the room was clean and spacious. They're motel style rooms so nothing fancy, but just fine for a couple nights. There is a restaurant and saloon on the property and the general store and gas station is just across the street. The prices here a much more reasonable than at the oasis. Stovepipe Wells is very close to Mosaic Canyon and Mesquite Flats Sand Dunes and provides easy access. We visited the dunes one night after dark to stargaze. Overall, a really nice stay and more reasonable prices compared to the oasis.
