The Pepper Mill Pub - Stoke-on-Trent

I went out for lunch with my parents. Despite the lack of customers, it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive. When it finally did, my chips were cold, my dad's chicken was cold, and my mom's curry was cold. Sadly, we will not be coming back. It seems like this place has declined in quality. Such a disappointment.

We decided to have a family birthday dinner at this restaurant but we were disappointed and will not be returning. The place was nearly empty and it's clear why. We were hoping for a carvery but they were not offering it. The food was awful – one dish was inedible, one had to be sent back, two had parts that had to be returned, and one dish took a long time to come out. The manager did not seem concerned and offered a voucher for a return visit, but we will not be taking them up on that offer. The response from the head office was also a generic reply, so it seems they are not very concerned about customer satisfaction either.

The food was delicious. However, i ordered a burger with sweet potato fries (we ordered on the app) A lady came outside to us and said they didnt have any so offered me either chips or to double up the fries. This was not a problem and i chose to double up the fries. When the food came it had one portion of fries so i told the young girl who brought it (a different member of staff) that we needed an extra portion she said 'ok ' but looked confused so i said the sweet potato fries aren 't available so the first lady said i could have double fries. She still didn 't take the plate so i took it said we would like the fries bringing please, to which she said 'ok ' again. She walked off so i assumed she would bring them but never did and we never saw her again. It was only £1.25 extra but we didnt care about the money, it was the service that disappointed us. Especially when we paid £50+ for 3 burgers. The burgers themselves were really tasty, though.

First time, the staff Glen and Shirley were extremely friendly. The food was amazing too. Booking here for Christmas Dinner with the family.

Presently surprised, food was excellent had 3 mixed grills and one spicy beef burger and omg I can’t tell you how nice that steak and burger was, the steak was cooked perfect and the burger spice was perfect not to spicy and not to mild ether it was delicious definitely be coming again. Thank you Chris and Meg very much for the delicious food can’t wait come again keep it up guys
