I can't speak to dining in, as our first time here was take-out. What I can say was the food was spectacular. It was authentic and great for a reasonable price. We will definitely be coming back to try dining in. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: The Brick Burrito
Outstanding Mexican food restaurant. My wife and I lived in Texas for over 10 years. The Brick Mexican Grill food we had was better than the best we had in Texas. The service and atmosphere are perfect as well. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
The team works hard here and the spot is a popular one. They use every inch of the restaurant. It decorated beautifully but it can be cramped. I made the rookie mistake of ordering takeout on a Friday night, despite being warned about how crowded it gets. And it was indeed packed. It’s a tiny spot with a surprisingly large customer base. Just a heads up: it gets CRAZY loud in there. Between the upbeat music and the lively conversations, it’s nearly impossible to hear anything. When I called to place my order, the woman on the phone had trouble hearing me. We ended up in a comical back-and-forth: "What’s the name?" ... "Tiffany." ... "Piffany?" ... "No, Tiffany" ... “How do you spell that?” ... “T-I-F-F-A-N-Y” ... “P-I-F…” No, it’s TIFFany ... so on and so forth. When I arrived, the place was absolutely bustling, which is encouraging to see. However, I have one small complaint: there’s no waiting area. You sort of have to squeeze into a corner with 5 to 10 other people. Additionally, there's no designated host stand. After asking an employee near the door where to pay for takeout, I was told to navigate through the crowd and find another staff member. I wish it were a bit more organized. The gentleman handling takeout was incredibly nice, and the wait wasn’t too long. My husband and I both ordered the Colorado Burrito with a side of yellow rice (which I heard was great). Everything was hot, fresh, and complete when I got home. I was astounded by the size of the burritos—they are HUGE! I’ll easily get three full meals out of one. It felt like such a great value for the price! Now I truly understand my friend’s obsession with this restaurant. The food is absolutely fantastic. The short ribs are incredibly tender, and the sauces are packed with flavor. The rice was delicious. Every bite was heavenly. I’m officially part of The Brick cult now! I’ve heard they’re opening a second location down the street from me at the old Train Stop in Berlin, and I’m concerned for both my waistline and my wallet, as I’ll definitely be eating there several times a week. In summary: Amazing, authentic food with huge portions at a reasonable price. The restaurant is extremely busy and has limited space. It has a chic and fun vibe, but the overcrowded atmosphere may be overwhelming for some, so I recommend getting takeout or going early to avoid the dinner rush. An absolute gem of a restaurant!
