Hartery's Family Restaurant

Terrible. Eating is gothic and the service was even worse. is that what kind of restaurant happens in this city?!

Service excellent, eating disappointing. fish and chips, do not disturb. this place gives the fishing industry a bad name. 2 small thin triangular pieces fish, not fresh. and a handful of fries $16.99 x 2 persons. I hope people do not think that all fish and chips are so in nl. this place should take it from the menu. I should have asked her to take it back and run out. Believe me. I know fish and chips. at a 3 because the server were excellent and the skillful pepsi was good.

I always listen to hardery, at least once when I visit stephenville. good, reliable and tasty Newfoundland sprinklers, and the staff are always super fast. I don't want to go back!

Suitable for covid 19 with beautiful screens of local scenes in the stands. the local court of pan fried cod when caught by local wild cadjau. Thursday is traditional jiggs dinner. great breakfast place, but before 11:00 clock there. the staff are friendly,...poliet and know the opposite very well. great place to visit for tourists and other visitors.

We had dinner at Hartery 's on our way through Stephenville. The fish chips was frozen fresh , according to the waitress, which basically means I can get the same product in most any restaurant anywhere...O-K, but my least enjoyable fish chips meal of our...entire trip. The menu also states that the restaurant staff will work with anyone with food sensitivities or allergies to accommodate requests . My wife is vegetarian and simply asked for a boiled egg on top of her salad...and she was informed that was not possible (they serve breakfast, so it is not like they don 't have eggs in the kitchen... . Stephenville is a neat little town with an interesting history, but Hartery 's is like any run-of-the-mill restaurant in any small town...O-K, but not great.
