Marie's 2 - Staten Island

Sat inside ~16$ bill for a 12$ philly cheese steak and diet coke (not sure how much small metal cup of soda is). They add percentage if you dont pay cash. They forgot to add the peppers, onions and mushrooms which is 1$ each add on. The sandwich was good, grilled foccacia was soft. Not meant to be reheated, it turns hard. I wouldnt go out of my way to come back here again, its around the block from my drs office so i figured id try it out. Waitress has a lot on her plate, forgot to give me utensils for the salad. Theres another guy behind counter who i guess is her supervisor but for the most part she was on her own taking orders from walk ins for take out, waiting on tables and managing pick up orders. The chef did a good job with the meat and cheese and hes front of house. Pizza slices are sold individually which is convenient. Might return for french onion soup but this is a more grab lunch for workers in the area type of place. Apparently you can order from the breakfast menu even in the afternoon which is nice.

I ordered the Marie’s house salad with well done salmon. As I’m removing the plastic i find a piece of hair GROSS! I open my salad the salmon was barely cooked let alone well done. They send a new one with “well done salmon” I have absolutely no idea what they gave me it definitely wasn’t salmon I ended up throwing out the “salmon” and just eating the salad. I’ll never order from here again. It sucks this place use to be amazing.

The food is ok but this place never fails to disappoint. They think because they are in proximity to the ferry that they should charge Manhattan prices. $20+ for a salad that is always wrong...hostesses that sit around socializing and drinking (presumably cocktails) is just plain obnoxious. When you call to place an order it 's blatant they do not care about your order. I called this past week and inquired if their Swiss mushroom burger included sautéed onion...the response was I don 't know, whatever the menu says, I guess, I don 't have one handy now No interest in giving me an answer, (I happen to know they keep their take out menu right there on the front counter, I would have accepted being put on hold, again, but the truth is they didn 't care about this consumer). Mind you, there 's more but I won 't waste any more of my time or money on them.

Two words: Seafood Salad. Literally the best salad I've ever had! It doesn't make me feel like I'm sacrificing anything by eating a salad. I've had it with calamari and shrimp and both are outstanding! I recommend getting them breaded. Also the lemon parm dressing is the bomb.com. You need to get this salad. Game changer!!!!
