Capriccio Cafe. - Stamford

I don?t normally write reviews but Capriccio Cafe deserves one. The food is fresh and delicious and the portions are very generous. The staff provides outstanding customer service and was especially attentive to my 92 year old mother. I highlyrecommend this restaurant and we will be returning!

My experience was terrible. Family and I follow waiter to seat us inside considering it was hot out in August weather. First off one of the tables were pretty flimsy. At first, We were worried a drink or such would fall if my husband or brother leaned withtheir arm on it. Why did it take long for waiters/waitresses to approach us on 2 or 3 occasions. I can understand when it's foodyou are waiting for, otherwise not much reason. Why was there so much staring from one of the waitresses. It made me feelodd.....as if she's never seen a black woman before and or interracial couple. We got a few stares even before we got there.Most of the things I thought were overpriced. We got steak and fries. Steak was good but considering we payed basically $60 forthe both of us, I would have expected a bigger sized steak. There was alot more fries than steak. Fries Tried to overcompensatefor the small steak that was given to us, is what it seems to me. The good steak deserves a 3 but because of just about mostthings was an issue for us, this gets 1 star.

This restaurant serves water in clear plastic cups (and tastes as if it comes directly from a rubber garden hose. To make matters worse, the salmon that I ordered arrived to the table 35-minutes after ordering it. The fish was the size of a baseball,dry, and drastically over-cooked. I asked the server if the fish was fresh or frozen, and they were unable to provide me with aconvincing response. The spinach on the side was slimy and mushy (indicating that it was steamed for far too long. Overall, thefood was underwhelming as was the experience.

Had food here twice so far this summer. Lunch time. Both meals were disappointing. The chips tasted like they were two days old and paninis were lacking. No good. Wont be back.
