Stupendous meal with a really kind staff to explain the dishes!

A fantastic friend of mine is vegan. We were trying to decide on a spot for lunch, and he suggested Abyssinia. I've never tried Ethiopian food before, and I was excited for something new. We headed over when they opened, and my mind was absolutely blown. The flavors, the spices, everything is married perfectly and packs the best punch. I enjoyed every single bite and can't wait to come back and try some of the non-vegan options as well! The people are fantastic too! Excellent, courteous, and kind service! I also loved the vibe of the restaurant. Very comfortable and low-key. Can't wait to go back!

Amazing food, my personal favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Rochester and one of my favorite restaurants over all. Been going for years at this point and the food is always delicious. Everything is incredibly flavorful, there's a wide range of dishes to try, and they're all really good.

I can't. The Kik Wet was too much. Vegetarian delight. Sad I only got 1 order to go.

Very good culturally refined restaurant. The food is always cooked excellently, the flavors mesmerizing. Sambusa (I’ve had lentil and mixed veggie) and Abyssinia special 1+2 are delectable.
