The Dam - St. Louis

For the first time for my wife and I, on recommendation of our daughter and really glad that we accepted her recommendation! They had both fish and chips with light and crispy filets and many of them, I am not on the fries here they are traditionally Belgian and double fried and hand cut. very crispy and delicious! I had the dam burger, think patty melt with a large smashburger think patty melt with a large smash burger 2 cheese and a thousand island like sauce, very tasty! included in new amsterdam tavern, which has a large selection of microbial and a beautiful terrace for eating in the free. the weather changed and there was something cool out there, but the only thing that kept us from it was another beer. overall will definitely be great again! very friendly service both at burgerplatz and at the bar!

Fourth time I made the journey to the burger and they are closed. I'll call and check google each time. Anwsering machine says they're open. Google's business profile says they are open. three times no sign. today a sign that they are closed for a catering event. communication is a really simple thing to reach in today's world. respect their customers time! update their Google profile and answer machine when they are closed.

The service was great, but eating was just ok. the veg dogs were really good, but tiny compared to the bungalow? That was $8.50, that's crazy. the sweetburger with avocado and salat and tomaten was ok, but I don't have a bungalow. they also charge $1 for salad and tomaten : sweet little stone shop that would be good for carnivores after a few drinks, but it wasn't so great for a Sunday with lunchtime lapping

Loved the burger at The Dam. It’s *sort of* attached to the Amsterdam Pub next door you order your food and they deliver. I can’t remember which burger I had (sorry! but my date and I both really enjoyed ours and the Loaded Fries are to die for. I will definitely be back!!

Contained in new Amsterdam Tavern which has a great micro beer selection and a nice patio for outdoor dining. The weather was changing and it was getting a little chilly out there but the only thing that kept us from was having another beer. Overall will definitely be back great experience! Very friendly service both at the burger place and at the bar!
