Wildstone Bar and Grill

Very comfortable place for lunch and conversation. Our meals with friends included lamb and prime rib. Very tasty and served hot. A quiet place to relax. Very pleasant staff.

We stopped at the Wildstone Bar and Grill, which is the restaurant part of the facility at Stone Willow Inn, for lunch for our bus group before theatre in Stratford. Our annual buffet stop closed, so this was a plated serving with a choice of menu from two offerings: chicken or beef.The place was easy to find on Queen Street, and was a clean and welcoming venue. Our place settings were all ready for our very large (50+) group, with fresh water on the table. A fresh salad with a light oil and vinegar dressing was served as an appetizer. Coffee was available immediately. The entrée included fresh garden vegetables, double baked mashed potatoes and a very delicious chicken breast with mushroom sauce, or tender and juicy beef with plenty of available horseradish. Dessert was a combination plate of various sweets to be shared at the table.Service was reasonable, considering the numbers. If anyone had to wait, it was not a hardship, as servers were constantly on the move to get the correct plates to the right person, and fulfill requests on the fly.Some from our group yearned for the longstanding experience of a buffet, but none complained about the tastiness of the food, or about being hungry when we left.

As part of the Stone Willow Inn we had some light meals here while golfing at St Mary's GC. While the service and staff were very pleasant we thought the food we ordered was a little lack lustre. Now that being said, we didn't order a lot and may try a larger meal here in the future so my initial review can be takena little lightly. The ambience however is quite nice and the patio is lovely in the summer.

Our rehearsal dinner was at wildstone. The food was delicious ! Service was OK but kind of slow. But we had a group of 18. It is pricey as well.

This place has ok food; not pretending to be pretentious or high brow. We had a burger and ribs. Very edible, but that's about it. Sides of mashed potatoes, chips, green beens also ok. A local aficionado from St Mary's said it's the roast beef that is excellent. He was having a piece of carrot cake that was huge and looked good and he said it was. So not a place I would go for a special occasion meal.
