Food Basics - St. Catharines

These grocery stores have been taking advantage of the public for quite some time, so it's hard to believe they lack the funds to hire more staff. It won’t take much longer for customers to lose their patience. Food Basics, you need to do better. On a positive note, the pharmacy staff here is fantastic — truly a standout!

The selection was good, but some of the staff appeared quite stressed. Asking them for assistance seemed to make them more agitated. My cashier seemed to be new, which caused our line to move slowly. It seemed like she could have benefited from more training. She was friendly, but clearly overwhelmed. This situation wasn't fair for her or the customers waiting in line.

The staff at the restaurant is always attentive, ensuring that the shelves are well-stocked and available to assist if needed. There are also plenty of great sales going on. On this particular day, the store wasn't overly crowded like it can be at times.

Well kept store, friendly, helpful staff. Have sale items in at great prices!

Old review: Switched to shopping here recently, very good prices.Edit: The quality of this store has fallen a bit. Never any carts or baskets available to use cause they're so backed up on collecting them from the returns, items completely unstocked and some items that i usually buy here look like they've been completely removed from the shelves. Spent way longer then needed in here aswell due to employees talking to eachother in the middle of aisles as if they're arent other people trying to get around.
