The White Lion - St Albans

I visited the restaurant on a Sunday without a reservation, just before the kitchen closed. I decided to try the Sunday roast and was thoroughly impressed. The portions were generous, the meat was of high quality, and there was a good variety of vegetables. It was one of the best Sunday roasts I've had in a while, and at a great price of £12. The interior was cozy and the staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend this place!

This was my first visit to this wonderful traditional pub and I was thoroughly impressed! The lunch was delicious and the staff made sure to prioritize our safety, which is crucial during these uncertain times.

This pub is fantastic - from the delicious food to the friendly staff. They do a great job of managing the weekly COVID rules.

Very secure pub – app works well, tables are all distributed and employees are very aware that social distancing and keep everyone safe. as impressed as they have adapted – it is the only pub that I feel safe to visit!

Would have preferred to not have had a tip and transaction charge added without my agreement. this has not happened anywhere else so not impressed with that..nice pub and surroundings otherwise
