Spottiswoode Hotel Bistro - Spotswood

I have visited the Spottiswoode Hotel several times in the last three years, and I have always enjoyed the food.

My score 4 stars. We've had lunch here a few times now. Spacious interior, friendly enough staff, good lunch deals. We have had the Seniors Deal of entree main, or Main dessert good value. Arancini entree nice. S P calamari very good very nice salad. Schnitzel also good same good salad. Dessert of pavlova was moreish. This most recent time I had the Workers lunch of a Chicken Parma, salad chips small beer great value. Parma was enormous tasty) salad again very good chips always fine.

The staff appears to be genuinely happy to be working there. They are attentive, yet not overly intrusive. I was promptly brought water along with the menu. The waitress provided table service and took my food and drink order at the table. The menu has a pub vibe, but also offers some great vegan options. I decided to try the Eggplant Parma and I was not disappointed. The wine and beer selection are both extensive and reasonably priced.

Initially going down the road to grazeland on the opening weekend but was packed out and decided to eat at Spotswood Hotel. So, so pleased we did. First time there, and was impressed. Staff were pleasant, food service was quick and the food itself was fresh and tasted great. Good food, good price. Will definately return to try other dishes.

This hotel offers both bar and lounge type seating, which is great no matter what the occasion you have an area to sit that suits. Atmosphere is good, bar service was good. It seems they have gone away from table service, which is a pity, so pay before you eat!
