Southern Barbecue - Spartanburg

This is by far my favorite BBQ place around. Ribs are amazing. BBQ is delicious. The BBQ slaw is second to none. Prices are excellent and the waitress staff are true southern belles!! Super friendly! Highly recommended.

As always I requested a recommendation and my waitress was an absolute doll. Gave great recommendations, and the food came out hot, fresh and fast. Absolutely would come again. Highly recommend the potato salad and hush puppies, and chopped bbq plate!

Visited 1/27/21., around 7PM. (FYI: No employees were wearing masks, not even in kitchen. Ordered combo plate to go: ribs, pulled pork, slaw, subbed stew instead of fries, hush puppies. Half rack not fall-off-the-bone style but pretty good and not dried out. Pulled pork was also pretty good and not dry. Slaw was not my style; it was vinegary and not sweet. Stew was very good with nice balance of meat, veggies. Hush puppies were really good. Server said potato salad and onion rings are good so it might warrant another trip to try those. Also, food came out really quickly. Don’t forget to ask for extra sauce and ketchup. Good option if you’re in the area.

The hush puppies are amazing, I decided on the half rack of ribs, beans, potato salad and hush puppies. I normally like Texas style BBQ, but this place is on point. The ribs were amazing and juicy, perfect balance of sweet and savory. Classic potato salad and beans were really good with the ribs. The staff was very friendly and quick to refill my sweet tea as I was waiting for my food. Well done Southern BBQ!
