Tavern Grill 1 East Maple - Sparta

Had a great lunch there today. Food was great, club sandwhich, smashed burger, mac cheese. Service was even better. Even with limited staffing the food as well as drinks came fast. There is light hearted atmosphere that's great. Give them a try youwon'tbe disappointed..!

Excellent experience at Tavern Grill. The prime dip sandwich will literally melt in your mouth. The deviled egg potato salad has so much flavor. I highly recommend this establishment.

I have Been here once before with a friend, but I didn't write a review. On this occasion, I visited with my wife. One confusing item to clear up, the signage all states this is the Tavern Grill. It is located at 1 East Maple, so I don't know what's up with that. Anyway, we stopped in for a burger and a beer. This place is quite an unexpected hidden gem. It really looks like it belongs in a big town, not the small one it's in. The owners have done a wonderful job restoring it. It is very tasteful and classy looking. It is lined with brick walls, and has a very nice bar area. This place is really unexpected. Despite the sign warning of short staff, we were seated and waited on immediately. The service was both fast and friendly both times I was there. And both times I had their signature smash burgers. I love the way they are cooked, a bit crispy on the edges and not too thick. We also had a draft beer. If you happen to find yourself near Sparta, TN (and I'm not sure why you would), definitely give this place a try.

Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She also knew the area well and was able to give us some ideas for future hikes. Our food was delicious...I had a salad, and included some shrimp. The restaurant itself was clean and inviting. In these days when staffing shortages are hindering some restaurants from even opening, we're always grateful to find a restaurant that's actually open, fully staffed, and serving delicious food.
