Peter Trout's Tavern And Inn

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights, and ate in the tavern several times. Alex and Ryan and all the staff were the most welcoming hosts, they truly made our stay special. The rooms are beautiful and overlook the water. Nothing was bad from the food menu, but make sure to come by for brunch because the crab cake Benedict were my favorite. They have tons of tasty craft beer choices on the menu. All of this in a quite spot right on the water.

Wow! This place could be 10/5 stars if we could have more stars to rate it. I had chicken and waffles with Maple butter and REAL Maple syrup! The service was awesome. We sat outside on a beautiful day! Coffee was delicious. Coming back soon!!

We each enjoyed a drink from the bar. The staff was friendly and hustling. I enjoyed my smoked trout omelette. My husband had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and says it was ?solid.? Great beer selection.

Wow. We stayed at the moorings which was right down the road and ate here on our first night in MDI we didn?t have a better meal the rest of the trip! Casual seating and ambiance right on the marina/docks. We ordered the pork belly wedge salad (10/10) and got the ribeye steak for two with the potatoes, corn, and biscuits. All of it was incredible 11/10. One of the best meals I?ve had in years. We?re big eaters and couldn?t even finish the steak (brought it in the car the next morning for a post hike snack). If we make it back to Acadia we?re absolutely coming here again!! Thanks so much for a great dinner!

Really good experience for dinner. Upon gazing at the menu, one entire page is devoted to Tin Fish. The bartender, Malik, gave a recommendation to try the light tuna belly, which is served with toasted sourdough, charred lemon, and vinegar. Surprisingly good! This great start accompanied a great beer list. Our entrees were the haddock sandwich and Jonah crab cake. It was difficult to choose which was better. We raved about both. If you're staying at the Moorings Inn, as we were, walk down the street for dinner. If not, hop in your car for the drive. The food is incredible.
