Elk and Finch - Southampton

We went for our anniversary dinner and were met by a friendly welcoming employee. We sat out side on the covered patio out back and were waited upon by an efficient and attentive waitress. The special was a rib eye steak so that is what I ordered. It was cooked to perfection, exactly the way I ordered it and served with a yummy gravy/sauce, mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. My wife had the mediterranean pasta and she raved about it all night. Dessert and special coffees and the bill with tip was much less than anticipated. This place is a must eat in for any visitors to the Saugeen Shores area!!

Our waitress was delightful. Upon entrance it looked like a lovely place. And with a reservation, we assumed we were being led to the lovely veranda. Not so. Led to an outdoor terrace at the top of the building, with a number of black wrought iron tables, like the outdoor canteen at a golf course. No table covering. No placemats. The cutlery roll up was placed directly on the metal tabletop. Did I say no table covering whatsoever? Every family with a child or teen was brought up to the terrace Hmm. The bill was still over $115. My liver, was possibly a good piece, but cooked to shoe leather texture. 16.95$, which is fine but the server could ask the preferred cooking style. Pasta was delicious. Wings and ribs a little overcooked but yum. And, the vegetables were perfectly cooked No We will not be back unless they invest in a roll of craft paper to tear off and make paper tablecloths Cutlery on the tabletop isn't my thing

Amazing lunch spot. Everything is house made, even the coffee is roasted in house. The patio is a beautiful place to sit on a sunny day. We had the lunch specials and they were outstanding. Also to note, this is the best deal in town with the best value for money.

I went to the Elk and Finch based on my AirBnB hosts recommendation for good food. While they have a beautiful patio, we elected to do a takeout dinner of a leg Caesar salad, roast chicken, and whitefish dinner. After ordering online (the system worked great! we went to pick it up. They finished the fish just as we arrived so everything was fresh when we sat down at home to eat it. And the cream sauce on the chicken was mouthwatering! I'm so happy we went. A gem in Southampton!

Very fresh, made from scratch dishes. Everything was finger licking good. The bruschetta was so good. The prime rib special was fantastic, the chicken pesto pasta was delish had to eat the whole thing even though I was stuffed!!! The spaghetti bolognese was excellent. I would definitely come back again! Wait staff were pleasant and accommodating.
