Bidra med feedbackWhat a hidden gem! Everything about this restaurant is great. You feel like your having dinner in an Italian home. We go back often.
I was looking to surprise my wife with a night out and away from our kids. She wanted live music, exotic cuisine, and a nice atmosphere. Walking in the door at Amore checked off all three boxes from the start. Live piano music playing softly, nice quiet ambiance, and a friendly staff offering us our choice of new dishes from Portugal and Italy. We had a LOVELY night sharing new experiences over a bottle of moscato, being serenaded by some of our favorite songs. The Pork Trasmontana is everything I never knew I wanted in a dinner dish. It was HEAVENLY. We want to tell our friends all about this place but we're tempted to keep it a secret so we'll have all the ravioli to ourselves! This place is EXCELLENT and we have now become regulars. If ever you're in the mood for some some good music or a nice plate of calamari, AMORE is your next stop. You will LOVE it.
The food is amazing and the service is impeccable. Locally owned restaurant specializing in true Italian and Portuguese food. Delicious every time!
What a wonderful meal! Food was delicious and the service was top notch. We will return. The tiramisu was the best I have ever had and the chocolate cake was absolutely amazing!! Veal parmigiana was fantastic as was the Bolognese. Enjoy!!!
Having recently returned from a trip to Portugal, we were excited to hear that Amore was serving authentic Portuguese food so decided to give them a try. Due to the rising COVID cases and the small size of the restaurant, we booked an outside table. The menu looked wonderful, we ordered a bottle of white Portuguese wine and two of the seafood dishes. So far so good, but as soon as our food arrived, we were immediately enveloped in a large swarm of big, black flies. While I grabbed a menu and started fanning to keep the flies out of our food, I sent my husband inside to see if we could move to an inside table. He came back alone so, when no one came out to help us, I went in and asked for help again. Liann then appeared and said she could squeeze us in around the piano bar where other patrons were sitting. It was packed inside so I said “no thanks” and asked to have our food boxed up to take home I still hadn’t been able to take a bite . She apologized and said that “ the flies are usually not this bad”. Really? Why would a restaurant seat anyone outside if they know they have a fly problem at all?! Bill was well over $100 with no offer of taking off anything for our inconvenience. Now for the food. My husband’s octupus dinner was barely mediocre at best and, when I opened my seafood meal at home, it had a very off odor probably why the flies were after it . The seafood wasn’t fresh, mussels stringy and wouldn’t come out of shells, shrimp, clams and lobster all tough and rubbery. Couldn’t eat any of it, so out it went in the trash. I should have just let the flies have it! Needless to say, we will NOT be returning and don’t let anyone tell you that this is authentic Portuguese food!
