Valley Coffee - South Ribble

I visit this restaurant often after dog training. I love the coffee and toast, and the cakes are also delicious. The staff is very friendly.

This place is consistently excellent. GREAT coffee, food and snacks. A lovely atmosphere with lots of seating and good accessibility although the door might be a bit tricky for a solo wheelchair user. I especially appreciate that it is very Coeliac friendly using gluten free oat milk so there is no concern over cross contamination from the coffee machine, great gluten free food options and good safety practices of using dedicated tongs for gluten free cake, etc. Knowing I can come here and drink and eat safely is really important. Staff are friendly, welcoming and professional.

This morning was not our first visit but felt I needed to review after enjoying next another delicious breakfast at valley. I love to spend time here with my son whilst he’s home from uni. We are always impressed with the quality of the food. It is always well presented on the plate, served hot and just delicious. The staff are polite and helpful.

We use this place occasionally and the food, although limited in options, is generally very good and reasonably priced. Hygiene however is poor as we have discovered human hair in our food on more than one occasion so careful inspection is generally warranted. The staff on the servery, along with those waiting on table, do not wear a hair covering of any kind and seem to think that just tying their locks back will suffice. This facility is also dog friendly which usually starts alarm bells ringing with us and this place is no different. Seeing pet parents allowing there animals to recline on the furniture does not augur too well in the hygiene stakes. Neither does watching those staff waiting on table patting stroking dogs then returning to the kitchen area, only to reappear in a few seconds with the next order, instil any confidence in their own personal hygiene practices either.
