Lovely atmosphere and service. Kelly behind the bar was especially helpful and really ensured a positive experience.

Situation at the top of Thornbury high street this pub is an ideal location for shopping or the large playing field and park opposite. An ideal man creche while the ladies mooch around the shops. A warm welcome by professional and friendly staff, a good selection of very reasonably priced drinks. We visited to watch the rugby six nations and there was a great atmosphere with sports shown on a big screen and large TVs. They have a rear outside seating in a secret garden and outside the front of the pub. Although we were just in to watch the sport and enjoy a drink, they have curry and burger nights and DJ on the weekends. Dog friendly too. Will definitely visit again.

I felt like I needed to write a review because I was so impressed with how the landlady and landlord managed to sort out such a lovely evening for my nans birthday. Me and my family were meant to be going for a meal at a restaurant down the road and when we got there they said they didn’t have a booking. Even though we had email confirmation. We decided to leave and walk up the highstreet and found the Malthouse. The owners were hosting a burger night and managed to fit us all in even though they were busy. To what we thought was going to be a ruined evening turned out to be even better than expected with amazing food, amazing hospitality and a brilliant evening. Thank you so much

I visited last Wednesday for one of their burger nights, two amazing meals for £15 ! I can’t fault this pub from the food, to the class A customer service and good quality pints. Brilliant atmosphere and an all round great experience! 10/10
