The Chequers - South Cambridgeshire

Really enjoyed popping in here for a few light meals on our cycles. We went for the fish and chips today and the portions were frankly enormous. We half struggled to cycle home. The fresh tarter sauce was great. I had white bait on a previous occasion and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be back for that. Excellent beer too. They clearly are fastidious with their pumps and serving. All in all, not so cheep but the quality is worth it. Great service too. Recommended.

It was very quiet, but it was a couple of dining rooms without the children. we enjoyed our meal very much. I especially enjoyed the creamy sauce on mine. but I'm pretty sure my ravioli wasn't homemade. that said it was still a nice meal.

£6 for a full pizza and soda, had a fantastic breaketta also as a starter. 15 pounds for two of us. will return absolutely with my children who will love it

We have had several visits for dinner with friends and as always excellent service and food. Another great visit. Food drinks: Great food and good menu. Reasonably priced. Good value Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value
