If you enjoy Peruvian food, specially roasted chicken, check this place out. Their lomo saltado is delicious, but the upgrade it better!! Great food. We got a half chicken, house sushi and something with fries and chicken. It was all soooo good. We were looking for a sushi place near Frank Sons and found this. It hit all the right spots. We even splurged and got some Inca cola for the long drive home Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken
I'm glad we finally got a Peruvian joint in this area. I believe this is part of the Higo chain and focuses mainly on their Peruvian menu. Definitely a take-out or quick meal place, not really much sit down ambiance. Service: not really much tableside service, you order at the counter and grab your food Food: 1. Tallarin Saltado with Beef: 7.5/10, this is usually my go to item whenever I visit a Peruvian restaurant. The flavor was definitely on point, but the beef was chewy and the dish was overall too salty. 2. Whole Chicken with Two Sides: 8/10, the chicken was very juicy and flavorful, but definitely also on the salty side. The sauce is amazing and the sides were very standard. 3. Higo Taco: 8/10, the tuna was very fresh and this was good. 4. Chaufa with Chicken: 7.5/10, the smokiness of the wok was there in the fried rice which is a huge plus, but it was just fried rice, nothing too special Overall: Would definitely come back if I'm craving Peruvian food since it's so close to the house, but I'd rather drive out further if the prices are similar.
I've only had Peruvian sushi once years ago and recall it being pretty good so I dragged my coworkers out to try this spot. Upon arriving, we watched the manager and back house staff take care of a difficult Karen with kindness and professionalism and she left in good spirits. I knew the service would have no issue then. The place itself is very cute, small-medium sized with cute flower decor on each table lovely color combo against the wooden tables and chalk art wall. We tried the causa, which was presented cutely in the spoons and delivered a pack of complex flavors, such a strong appetizer. The higo tacos are yummy, fresher than most ahi tacos I've had, good value. The specialty rolls did not disappoint. I loved the sauce on the Peru roll and the nice crunch in the acevichado roll. The salmon roll was loaded, although warm rice and crisply toasted tori would take it to the next level. Super happy we tried this spot I'll be dragging more people here
