Bump Gate Cafe - Sonora

We won’t return. Happened upon this place after stopping in the middle of nowhere driving from Vegas to Houston. A bit pricey for what you get but I think that’s because they’re in the oil patch and alternative fast food or Mexican food. So they’re a niche. It’s a nice atmosphere, food is okay the lettuce was old and black tinged (photo) so I picked that out and the deli corned beef was wafer thin (photo) — I’m used to NYC Delis where it’s piled high — good service. The French Dip was okay.

We caught a quick lunch here while passing through Sonora. The quality of food and service was outstanding! Their sandwich breads were very tasty and flavorful. Good variety on selection and great prices.

Chicken salad and pimento cheese is the best! Delicious!
