Hotung Cafe - Somerville

Very sweet staff. Good pizzas and breakfast sandwichs and smoothie bowls. Unfortunately heavy handed when adding cream to coffee, and the avocados are never good/ripe.

The staff are friendly enough, but what they sell is pretty mediocre and not great quality. I took a chance on the bubble tea and it was just not quite right tasted like cheap ingredients and incorrectly made tapioca, all for premium prices. More of the same for a collegiate counter like this.

They have loyalty cards for their 'craft pizza ' that let you get a free pizza every six or eight pizzas you buy. That and its convenient on-campus location are its biggest assets.

Love the employees. They know my order and I feel special

Grab a smoothie, a fair trade coffee, a Mediterranean snack or even a beer (after 5 p.m. to enjoy as you watch one of the many big-screen TVs or take in a concert.
