2108 in La Fontaine-Saint-Vincent in Soignies. It is a house that has always existed. Before that it looked like your grandmother’s dining room, then about ten years ago, the room was renovated with beautiful, relaxing colors. This is where you welcome Pierre Leonard and his wife Christine, practicing a classic, chichi-free gourmet cuisine based on products and cooking. No complicated decors on the plates. Here it is the taste that counts. We started with a vegetable mussel papillote in just succulent "Thai" creamy sauce. Vegetable sticks were still crunchy and full of flavors. Then a beautiful scalope of poached foie gras and its slightly caramelized apples. From the bar, just perfect cooking with the crispy skin and two beautiful lobsters in the mouth. A small asparagus and a small sauce: nothing more needed in the plate. In the dish a royal pigeon of Racan and a nice calf ris with a vegetable festival. To finish a magnificent flambée cream at the Grand Marnier. The whole meal was sprinkled with beautiful wines, mostly French and classic but delicious. Only pleasure. It is an excellent address for a classic and gourmet meal, with generosity in the plate. Simple but precise shipments on cooking and seasonings. Good products. And this is the most important.
