I have been ordering from your establishment for years. The orders are always slightly wrong but correctable when I pick them up. The last 2 times I ordered your website does not allow any special requests. I called and was told that if I did the order online and then called with the special request that would work. The order I placed today 11/10/23 needed a couple of tweaks. I called and was assured the special requests would be honored. Surprise surprise I got to your establishment and the order was not correct. The least you can do is make sure the order is correct when someone takes the time to call with special requests. I took my wife out for our anniversary dinner. We decided on Italian and searched for a new restaurant to try. We found La Tavola. It is a small diner that is nested just off the busy nearby route. For locals, this once was the location of Rossi 's Pizza. When first approaching the restaurant, it appears extremely small, and to some, this place may even look unappealing not because of anything negative, but only because it looks so small. The old cliche, Don 't judge a book by its cover! truly applies here. Upon entering the restaurant, the accents of the establishment provided an Italian feel. The tables, floors, and decor all appeared fresh and clean. We were promptly greeted and seated with a bright smile of our hostess/waitress. Her delightful smile and genuinely happy attitude lasted from start to finish of our visit. The menu listed dozens of food choices. My wife selected an all vegetable pizza , I selected the mushroom stuffed ravioli with alfredo sauce. A side salad was included with the meal. I was offered a choice of Ceasar or house salad, of which I chose the house option. The salad was served prior to being the meal. The salad was served on a saucer plate, which was perhaps the only odd experience of our visit. A small bowl would have been better as it was difficult to keep bits of the salad from falling off the edges of the plate. Our meals arrived in a timely manner. The salad, the pizza, and the stuffed ravioli were all splendidly cooked. The portions were satisfying. The quality was well above average. As an example, the mushroom filling in each of the ravioli wasn 't just a ground up processed stuffing mix. There were actual chunks of mushrooms mixed I t with a tasty filling. The Alfredo sauce was creamy, flavorful, as well and plentiful. I forgot to mention the two breadsticks, which also came with the meal. Unlike the franchise Italian restaurants, whose breadsticks tend to be typical and seem to come from a box out of a freezer. The bread stick at La Tavola were different in that they actually had the texture and tasted like small bread loaves. This stood out as extra quality and deserved a solid mention. Since we were celebrating our anniversary. We option to add a desert after finishing our meals. We both decided to try the terramushu (her favorite). It, too, was delicious and topped off the evening very well. We were tentatively (not annoyingly) queried if we needed anything at various points during our visit. We were not rushed but rather politely asked if we were ready for our check. The prices were well within expectations and fair, especially for the quality, effort, and professionalism of this fine off the beaten path eatery. Our first visit, an important day for us, and an excellent new restaurant to add to our list of goto places.
