Double Barley Brewing - Smithfield

What a fantastic family-friendly brewpub! The owner and his wife were both on-site working on a Saturday, and they were incredibly courteous and accommodating. While Double Barley Brewing was already my favorite brewery in North Carolina, their warm hospitality has now made it one of my all-time favorites! I enjoyed two imperial stouts and an imperial IPA, all of which were outstanding. Our group also tried several flatbread pizzas, a Reuben sandwich, a large pretzel, and a meatball sub, all of which were delicious! The prices were quite reasonable too. I will definitely make it a point to stop by whenever I'm in the area. Cheers!

I went there on a Friday night and found it to be a quiet place with a friendly barmaid. The beer selection was decent, and the food surpassed the typical bar food. I would definitely return again.

We had a great time stopping here on our way back from New Bern. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting, and the outdoor seating area is quite spacious. The prices for the flights were fantastic as well! Don't let the road construction deter you; making a U-turn to get here was definitely worth it!

Cool location in downtown Fayetteville. All paid parking. You can dine inside or outside. You can also take your beer to go. I felt like they had a good beer menu for people who like traditional beers like IPAs/lagers and also for those who like sours and ciders. There are normal restaurant tables and high tops (also the bar of course). Staff was friendly and nice. No complaints- even the bathrooms were clean

Cheryl and Larry are the owners and always make you feel welcomed and like you are part of the family. I love this about locally run businesses. Tonight we participated in a beer pairing dinner. OMG! It was comfort food and everything was fantastic. Give them a try. You will feel welcome.
