La Brasserie De La Gare

The entrance to the Flemish restaurant left much to be desired, however, I opted for a glass of Chardonnay for 5€ which was frankly disappointing. I then tried a Chablis for 7€, which was barely satisfactory. For my main dish, I ordered the royal white cod with butter and algae from the suggestions. Initially, I requested a couple of croquettes, but the server was unsure if they had any. I decided to stick with the croquettes and was disappointed when they arrived after I had finished my main dish. Additionally, the fish in my dish did not seem fresh, indicating that it may have been frozen or stored for too long. For a dish priced at 27€, one would expect better quality. Overall, I was not impressed with my dining experience and will not be returning.

I have lived nearby for 25 years and last night I made a reservation via email. I received a very prompt response. The dinner was a delightful surprise. The atmosphere was simple and welcoming. The staff even provided heaters for the chilly evening outside. Thank you, we will definitely be returning. - Ines Zapatero.

I won't put my feet on it.

I have dined at this restaurant twice recently and have always enjoyed the dishes served and the atmosphere. It is a truly authentic Brussels brasserie with excellent service and a very nice kitchen. It is a great choice for a dinner for two, although it can get quite noisy on the terrace and lacks privacy inside. However, it is perfect for a nice dinner with colleagues or friends, with convenient parking available across the street. I will definitely be returning.
