Pineapple Express - Simpsonville

The Thai chili wings are amazing! Garnished with cucumber and cilantro with a delicious smoked flavor. The kids loved their spam fried rice bowls with perfectly cooked Sunny side up egg! I give it all the stars. You can tell the food is made with love. This is a great spot for families, work, or a night out. I can't give the owner, Tye, enough praise! Stop in for delicious food and support a local business. Will definitely be back soon.

This place is UN. REAL. ??? I dream about the food DAILY and try to go as often as I can. The kaluha pork just melts in your mouth, the moa loa chicken is delightfully spicy, the macaroni salad is life changing, and even the rice is just perfect! I don’t eat seafood but will always steal a few of the crab fries off my husband’s or a friend’s plate! Once there was a Korean fried chicken special and it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had! The food is thoughtful, authentic, and made with love; all-around an absolute must try!Dietary restrictions: I have a nut allergy, and there were peanuts listed in the Korean fried chicken special. I asked the staff to leave them off when placing my order, and when my order was up the chef/owner personally handed it to me, assured me there were NO nuts NOR any threat of cross-contamination, and said he’d be over in a few minutes to check on me just to be absolutely certain everything was okay and that I was enjoying my meal, and true to his word he did and I was fine! Very safe and thoughtful!

I wanted to grab some takeout and looked for a place that was nearby with solid reviews. This review is just on their takeout, but I will note that The Warehouse is a cool place to get a drink and something to eat. But back to Pineapple Express... the food was a solid 3 and I imagine on a better night, it could be higher. I had to order at the bar next to the restaurant as per the sign on the counter, and the woman working there was very friendly. I asked her for recommendations and eventually settled on the steak hoagie, Korean bbq smoked wings, and the chicken and waffles for myself and my family back at the house. The wings were pretty good and everyone enjoyed them. Although they were advertised as smoked, they still had a crunch to them and the sauce was flavorful. The flavor of the cheese and sauce on the hoagie was delicious BUT I was disappointed that the steak was more like those cheap steakums. Hella disappointing. The fries were also underdone. If you're going to use frozen fries, they gotta be fried perfectly! The general Tso's chicken and rice with waffles got mixed reviews. The chicken and rice were bomb but the waffles looked and tasted like they were made earlier in the day and were simply reheated for our order. They were hard and lacked flavor. I'd be willing to give this place another try because there were other promising things on the menu.

First time at the warehouse. Pineapple Express and the Anchor Raw Bar are 2 restaurants in 1. We got the spam fried rice which was delicious! I got the shrimp po boy and the hubs got the oyster po boy, both were fried and served with Parmesan fries. All the good was delicious. We sat at Anchor’s restaurant instead of sitting in the community area. Very delicious food, well seasoned, got the food in a timely manner, and the service was also good as well!
