Bidra med feedbackWe decided to dine at Haro's for a special birthday lunch, and we were all pleased with our choice. Haro's had been recommended to us multiple times, including by a couple who were concluding their Canadian vacation and praised the food as the best they had anywhere. The ambiance was lovely, and the service was exceptional. Our waiter, Peter, was fantastic and even surprised Mom with a "Happy Birthday" sticky pudding.
Haro's is a beautiful restaurant with an exceptional view of the ocean. However the quality of the dishes served do not match the surroundings at all. Firstly, the menu is limited and uninspiring and reminds us of a mediocre chain restaurant. This past Sat night ( predictable long weekend crowd,) 2 of the main entres (fish
This was our second time here. First time was a BYO Tuesday. This time was for my birthday. My wife had the Nosh Platter and I had the Mussels. We also had the Calamari for starters. I must say everything they do here they do very well with their own added twist. The meal was excellent and our servers were very friendly and accommodating. You cant go wrong here. Great for a special occasion too.
Just had lunch here with some relatives. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the prawn lettuce wraps and a cup of chowder, both were yummy. The chowder has chorizo in it but you can ask for it without if you prefer. I liked it with chorizo, I haven't had it like that before. Dad had ribs with slaw and a cup of daily special soup, he said it all tasted good but it was hard to get the rib meat off the bones. He ate them with his fingers in the end then said he could have done with either a finger bowl or wet wipe. My aunt enjoyed her fish and chips and my uncle had the salumi calzone, which was on the daily specials menu, like my prawn dish. He said it tasted good but was very filling. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service good. We went at 11.30, it was very busy when we left which probably slowed service down, so if you're in a hurry eat early! It's popular.
As we got in a bit later in the day and were staying at the adjacent hotel, we stopped in for dinner at Haro's. It was a great choice. Wine and beer selections were great. My wife had a fabulous salad and I had lamb chops, which were very good. It was entertainment night in the adjoining lounge, so we really enjoyed the duo that played (Vinyl Wave with Tom and Dave.) Would absolutely dine here again.
