Angelo's Wine Bar Restaurant - side

Only complaint was it was too cold in the restaurant. But food, service was outstanding.

Angelo's is great in theory. The last several times we have visited there have been only 1 2 people working who were simultaneously trying to wait on tables and make drinks despite there needing to be at least 4 6 serves and at least 2 bartenders. Yesterday, there was one woman serving all the tables and making all the drinks. There were a couple other people who brought food to tables and filled water glasses. But there is no way one person can provide adequate service to an almost full restaurant. Everyone who works there works hard, but it is typically a 15 minute wait to order a drink, to get that drink, to order food, to request a check, to get the check, to get the check back to sign, etc. And should you want a second drink or additional food... It makes it hard to fully enjoy the food, drinks, and ambiance when the extreme understaffing interferes with every aspect of the experience.

Great food and drinks and helpful staff that offer solid wine recommendations.

Nice little spot. You can tell a lot went into the renovations. The food was very tasty and priced right, though the restaurant overall was a bit loud filled with a lot of TVs playing old movies, the basketball games, and a live (fantastic) jazz band. Great spot for pasta. Not a great place for quiet conversation.

Excellent sausage and peppers. The gnocchi was delicious too. Also had a Angelo’s special pizza and it was really good. Gigi is fantastic at recommending wines!
