The highlight for me was finally being able to enjoy a meal without the usual overload of white rice. I ended up eating here daily for the following week, savoring organic, low-fat renditions of local favorites such as nasi lemak and mee hoon soup, as well as a satisfying multi-grain porridge and iceless kaya toast. The family-run establishment exuded passion for their mission, with the owners eager to showcase their kitchen and explain their preparation methods and ingredients. Not only did my taste buds thank me for the delicious meals, but my body also felt lighter without the excessive oil and salt. Each meal left me feeling satisfied both in stomach and spirit.
I was thrilled to come across this fantastic restaurant by chance, thanks to the interesting Chinese characters on the sign out front! The lower sign showed raw meat, while directly above it was a sign for vegetarian food - a funny mix-up that led me to the realization that the vegetarian cafe was located on the second floor. The atmosphere at the cafe was laid-back, with decorations that reflected their mission of promoting vegan eating and natural health.
