The Onslow Balti Lounge - Shropshire

We were disappointed with our first visit to this restaurant. While the decor was pleasant, the food was very bland. There was a delay in table service due to understaffing, and tables were left uncleared for a long time. The chicken tikka starter was tasteless and both my main course and my husband's tasted the same despite ordering different dishes. We have frequented Indian restaurants in Shrewsbury and unfortunately, we will not be returning to this particular place.

We went for dinner around 6:30pm and were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our experience. Despite the appearance of the run-down car park, the interior of the restaurant was modern and stylish. The service was excellent, the food delicious, and the portions were generous. It was a great find and we definitely plan on returning.

This restaurant is phenomenal! The curry is delicious, the atmosphere is lovely, and the service is excellent. I highly recommend the chicken dhansak, it's one of the best dishes I've ever had. The naan bread was also amazing. If I could rate this place a 6, I would definitely do so!

Worst curry I've ever had, it was basically a tin of tomatoes with a few strips of chicken thrown in, do yourself a favour and go elsewhere!

Food arrived warm and the portions were very generous. Although we ordered food for that night there was so much food we got 2 meals out of it so very good value for money. All the food was very good quality and tasty. Delivery did take a little bit longer than expected but they did apologise and the food made up for it.
