Aoi Hot Spring Kusanagi No Yu

This is a compact onsen and consuming, 2-in-1, yet it would not fall under your expectations on both. The surroundings are quiet, clean, quiet and not crowded, even on Sunday. The result is a relaxing, comfortable and amazing experience. Updated on 15.11.2019 Kam 2019 back here and I was pleasantly reminded of the surroundings. Basically there were 3 rooms of ganbanyoku ▼ extended, Viz 衣 deserves removal and OVER ¢ ¢ ¢ ¢ ➔ 羽 was made of pink lava rocks that was my favorite as it helped me sweat profusely. ➔MANN was similar to a sauna room and there was a huge stack of coal for heating the room.

Rotenburo is big with tatami place to lie down. Large massage chair (not free). The restaurant is open until 10 a.m., so it is convenient if you want to soak in the bathroom first before dinner.

If you are in the area (Shizuoka-Usanagi-Shimizu and you need your daily 'ons' (like I, how fast became addicted, it is the best place to go. 5 minutes from Usanagi JR Train Station and the service is friendly, welcoming and helpful. First take your shoes, then go to the ticket machine. Then go to the reception only; enjoy your relaxing time in this hot spring water!

Packed with families on the day I came here, weekend, Sunday. The bubbly bath tub on the outdoor area was great, so are the water jets that gives one that water massage feel. Food is average. Couches on the second floor was great, thought there is a lot of light, probably to deny people from sleeping. Massage and haircuts are also available. Lockers for the onsen need 100 yens to lock them.

My first encounter with an onsen. Seems like a nice place to relax but don't bother if you have tattoos, you will be asked to leave. Had a good massage at 1950y for 20mins though.
