Bidra med feedbackDespite ordering simple dishes like quesadillas, some roasted bark baskets, and a burger, it took an astonishing 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food to arrive! The wait was incredibly frustrating. We noticed that other tables, who arrived after us, received their meals before we did. The waitress kept assuring us that our food was coming, but when it finally did arrive, it was disappointing. The food was over-fried and unappetizing. We could barely eat any of it, even though we were hungry. The quesadilla was clearly not made fresh—it tasted like it had been pulled from a fridge and was chewy and bland. The only decent item was the burger, but that hardly made up for the long wait. We left feeling completely disappointed and frustrated. Just the day before, we had enjoyed our meal at the Grand Marais Tavern, where everything was delicious. I suggest the staff at Bear Trap Inn take a trip there to learn how to properly cook and present food. Overall, the Bear Trap Inn was one of the worst dining experiences we had during our week-long trip. I strongly recommend skipping it.
I had one of their signature burgers cooked to perfection at medium rare, topped with an exquisite egg that was absolutely delightful. It's a charming little spot for enjoying a meal, drinks, or just hanging out near Chapel Rock. I will definitely be returning!
The service was good, but the food was only average. My partner and I had pasties that were made with commercial crust, filled with frozen chopped carrots, potatoes, and a small amount of meat. There was no rutabaga, no seasoning, and not even salt and pepper. The restaurant should consider removing this item from the menu if they aren't going to prepare it properly.
We were so satisfied with all menu options, huge portions and the service was fantastic! what a great stop along our journey through the pictured rocks!
Out of TN and on a tour of the Upper Peninsula, left Grand Marias hunting a breakfast as nothing available in this village. Forty or so miles west we came upon Bear Trap Inn which is a good sized cafe, surrounded by almost nothing. Very comfortable and friendly place. Ordered our usual OJ, eggs OM , bacon, link sausage, pancakes, toast, potatoes. WOW, what a meal. Not only delicious but we could taste the quality of the food. In these times of rising prices and limited product, this meal was out of the past. No corners cut, just good food. I would drive 50 miles out of the way to dine here again. Bear Trap Inn is A ok
